A Mother's May ( New Poem)

A day in May, when the breeze calms away,
A heartache with advice and
Spoonfuls of affection and comfort,
Wrapped in embrace,The memories, the present,
The discipline and correction and plans for better days.
A woman, only human, without a handbook of instruction,
Who carried me for 9 months and did the best to her knowledge.
To the mothers, step-mothers and mothers to be,
Foster mothers, mother in laws, and the mother figures we see.
Today, we acknowledge you.
